Imagine It!

 

On Sunday, we headed out to the Zoo to use our Family Pass for the very first time only to discover it was $5 Walmart Sunday.  I knew it was as soon as we got off the interstate...because this happened to us last year!  You think I would have remembered.  There were way too many cars going in that direction.  It looked like everyone in the city of Atlanta was there, too.  Cars were parked everywhere.  We had to quickly decide where to take the kids now.  Imagine It!  popped into my head and the little kids had been asking to go see the Clifford exhibit...so, that's where we went.  They had just as much fun.  Allie wasn't really digging it, though. Way too old! :)

Memory Lane

My family and I recently toured my father's childhood home in southwest Atlanta.  It just went on the market and we were able to take a little trip down memory lane.  It was built in 1937 and my dad lived there throughout his childhood along with his 4 siblings.  It was a real treat for me to step inside and envision all of the fun they must have had there.  I've heard many stories over the years and have seen a lot of pictures.  So, it was really nice to actually see it with my own eyes. 

  Of course, it looks a little different now, and needs a lot of work.  But, the trip was priceless.

Mark made this neat family subway sign for our kitchen a while back.  I really like how it turned out.  I'm thinking we may need a "family rules" sign next.

Twinkle, Twinkle

 

  Emma and her classmates put on a cute little nursery rhyme and fairy tale skit last week.  She performed "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and completely dressed the part.  Here she is with her best friend, aka the Queen of Hearts.

Here's another great shot taken at the Old Mill at Berry College.  I had to lay down behind the kids to hold on to Max's shirt...so he wouldn't fall off that adorable bridge!  Fun!  

We're gearing up for a weekend filled with 2 birthday parties, a trip to the Zoo, a Daddy/Daughters Date at Chick-fil-a, and the Super Bowl!  Whew!
