Our Christmas...

We've had a very busy Christmas week! Mark's family's celebration was at our house earlier in the week, and my family's celebration took place yesterday! Allie and Emma were very excited about Santa coming...Emma understood everything this year and enjoyed leaving cookies out for Santa and opening gifts! Allie got the Wii Fit she really wanted and Emma's favorite gift was a pack of crayons and a large Dora coloring book...LOL!Opening gifts Christmas morning...so excited about every present!One of the big hits...she was thrilled! Just what she wanted!The girl loves legos and blocks! She loves to build things with her daddy.Dad and Emma checking out the ornaments on the tree...getting ready to open more presents!Here's the gingerbread house Allie and Emma created with my dad and sister...it turned out really well. They started calling it the gingerbread barn.

My Latest Favorite Thing

Mark surprised me with a new iPhone! Not sure why he didn't wait until Christmas to give it to me...probably because he wanted to give me a diversion from all the sickness in our house right now. I love it and all the applications you can add. If you have one, what are your favorite applications?

So Proud!

I have to brag a little...We just found out today that Allie has been accepted into the Gifted Program (Target) at school!!! She was automatically referred based on her ITBS scores and through further testing met the requirements to qualify. We are so proud of her!

Way to Go, Allie!

Here's Allie's piano recital performance. It was supposed to take place in a different location filled with chairs and a grand piano. However, the teacher lost the keys to that location and at the last minute had everyone perform at the piano store where the lessons are given. Most people had to stand or sit on the floor and ALL of the refreshments were locked inside the room that we were locked out of...that poor teacher was beside herself! Everything turned out just fine. Allie, you did a wonderful job. She even memorized all 3 pieces!

It must be the morning sickness.

The List

I am sitting in our finished basement right now smelling the vinegar my cleaning ladies are using and about to GAG...at least my house is getting cleaned! I have so much going on this weekend and next week. I don't have time for morning sickness or a stuffy ear that is now more stuffy after the doctor irrigated it! Here's what's on my agenda:

* Church
* Out to eat with family after church
* Make mac & cheese to bring to Cookie Decorating Party
* Cookie decorating party
* Finish putting Christmas decorations out
* Put Christmas lights up outside...way late, I know
* Christmas shopping...almost done
* Allie's piano recital
* Christmas dinner with friends
* Bake 2 dozen cookies for neighborhood Bunco Christmas party
* Neighborhood Bunco Christmas party
* Take Allie to get her hair cut
* School Christmas party
* Visit Santa at the neighborhood clubhouse

Thank goodness I have a husband who is just as busy but will still find time to help!

Callaway Gardens

We had a great time at Callaway Gardens over the weekend. The Lodge and Spa we stayed at was just beautiful. The girls loved every minute of the trip!This picture was taken on the balcony outside our room.I love this picture! She looks just like a little butterfly.We saw 5 miles of lights! It took 45 minutes to drive through the display.This is really the only place I remember from my visit with the family 20 years ago...the Butterfly Conservatory! The girls loved this! They had fun identifying them.

We are headed here today...The Lodge at Callaway Gardens. Can't wait to see the Lights!

Productive

I changed it again...my moods have been crazy! I have been busy addressing Christmas cards ALL day! I actually feel like I have accomplished something. I just need to buy some Christmas stamps and I will be good to go.
