Emma had a great birthday weekend! We had a Dora birthday party for her on Sunday with lots of family...which she loved, of course. But, the celebrating started way before that!
On Friday afternoon, SHE wanted to go to Stars and Strikes to bowl and play games. Then, on Saturday afternoon, we went to Gabriel's Desserts (owned by Paula Deen's cousin) to pick out some cupcakes. She ended up taking only one bite of this one!
Getting ready for the party to start...and admiring all the goodies!
She could hardly sit still for this picture. This is such a fun age because she totally understood that this was HER party and the day was about HER! It was so cute!
After unwrapping each gift, she wanted to actually open it and play with it! Allie did a great job of writing down the gift list.
Enjoying time with Aunt Katie and Uncle Sonny...two of her favorite people!
Cake time! This was a fun party! I still can't believe she is 3 years old!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Emma!
I can't believe my baby girl is 3 years old today! It really doesn't seem possible. She is such a sweet little girl and has brought nothing but joy into our family. I love her zainy personality and vivid imagination. She is so smart and can tell you the funniest things. She is definitely not shy and loves to be the center of attention! We love you so much and are having the best time watching you grow and learn!

Spring is Definitely Here!
Our azaleas were just beautiful this Spring...for only a few weeks. I took these pictures a few weeks ago.
Over the weekend, we spruced up the front porch with new ferns (in hanging baskets), pink geraniums (in brand new planters), and brought up a bench from the back deck (that Mark repainted in sage green). I really like how everything turned out! My pollen allergies are in full swing, too!I really wish they would bloom all Spring and Summer! I love them!
Little Emma couldn't keep her hands off the blooms. She does the same thing inside Pike Nursery!
Allie is taking Spring tennis lessons and loving it! She's doing very well, too!

Easter Weekend
We had an awesome Easter weekend: Church, egg hunt at the inlaw's on Saturday, brunch with my family on Easter morning and then another egg hunt in our backyard. Pink and green Peeps have invaded my kitchen! Mark even made me an egg salad sandwich after the girls were through with the "real" eggs! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day!
This was after the egg hunt in our backyard. Emma only wanted the "animal" shaped eggs and that left Allie with all of the "princess" ones.
Before heading out to church...as usual, they love to get dressed up!
Egg hunt at the in-law's with all of the cousins. Allie found the golden egg with $1 inside!
Emma's Easter basket...filled with goodies.
Allie's basket...I just love these little pails!
Two little bunnies getting ready to dye eggs...they LOVED this!
Those egg salad sandwiches sure were good! Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Hungry Weekend
Over the weekend, we had a fun time with family...EATING. I think that's all we did! My mom is in East Tennessee visiting her sister and mother so we entertained my dad quite a bit. In other words, we ate out a lot! We went to Longhorn Friday night (just us) and then Saturday afternoon with my dad. The girls picked the place and wanted to go there again! Sunday, Katie and Sonny came over and everyone went to La Parrilla for dinner. The cute picture above was taken just before Mark spilled an ENTIRE diet coke ALL over me. Very nice!
This was taken at our second visit to Longhorn. The girls sure do LOVE their GrandBob! I'm planning on cooking dinner at home tonight...turkey spaghetti!
