We had our first White Christmas in over 100 years! The snow actually kept us from visiting our family in East Tennessee. My grandmother had about 8 inches of snow at her house on Christmas day...we ended up with about 2.
It looks like powdered sugar...
It was so cold and wet. They didn't last very long and quickly came in for some warm hot chocolate.

Your house looks pretty in the snowy picture. We only got about one inch - Luke wanted to build a snow man - not happening with that small amount!
