I am having flashbacks of Emma as a little baby!!
Since my last post, the sleep situation around here has gotten even worse! Thursday night she didn't actually go to sleep until 5 am and got up at 9...and last night she went to sleep in her bed at 7:30 (I made her cry it out) and got up at 12:30! We had to get her out because the crying was terrible. She went back to sleep in our bed at 4 am and then got up today at 9. What in the world am I going to do? I haven't given her a nap since Wednesday...hoping that would make her extra sleepy at night! She has always gone to bed really easily in the past! She feels and acts fine during the day...I believe the virus is gone!
Maybe she is preparing me for the new baby!

Guess What I Did at 1 AM?
I ordered 4 more of these silly mugs from Target for $19.99. See Tuesday's post before reading...
Let me explain...Emma has been sick the last two days with some sort of viral infection and fever. Well, Emma SICK=NO SLEEP! She woke up this morning at 12:30 (after waking up yesterday morning at 2:45 and only taking an hour nap) screaming hysterically...and I mean it was the worst fit EVER! Mark and I both got up and tried to get her to stop...nothing worked. We ended up bringing her downstairs still crying hysterically. I was going crazy trying to come up with something to settle her down with. I ended up pulling out the dreaded PERMANENT markers...her favorite. They were hidden in the cabinet above my computer which was next to my all time favorite PINK MUG. While getting the markers out, a book feel out of the cabinet and caused my pink mug to land on the floor in a million pieces. I wanted to cry hysterically, too. She stopped crying and really enjoyed the markers at 1 am and I consoled myself by ordering 4 more mugs.
She ended up going back to sleep at 5 am and then slept until 10! Do not laugh at this post...I am sleep deprived. By the way, all morning long she has been asking me where those stupid markers are!

Sweet Tea
I hate to admit this but I'm really addicted to decaf sweet tea...hot or cold...it doesn't matter. It must have a lot of sugar, too...Paula Deen would be proud. Nothing tastes better to me right now...I know it's lame and not very healthy! Recently,I found this adorable mug at Target and it has encouraged me to drink more. If only McDonald's and Chick-fil-a offered decaf...

I Guess I Better Get Used to Blue
It's starting to look like a little baby boy is going to be living here soon! I bought these outfits from my favorite store...Gymboree. I'm really not used to seeing all this blue in my house and I have to admit that it's very weird for me! I have lots of shopping to do! :)

My Little Valentines
Here are my little cuties getting ready to open their valentines from my Mom and Dad. They were so excited! While Emma was sitting beside my Dad and eating M&M's, she told him "I love you"...why can't they stay this little forever?

♥♥♥ Happy Valentine's Day! ♥♥♥
We're making heart-shaped Valentine Brownies for dessert tonight! Oh how I love Valentine's Day...all that pink...so much fun! The girls love it, too! In fact, you might not believe this...Allie woke Emma up at 4:00 this morning and brought her downstairs to make surprise Valentine cards for us! I know this because they came into our room to tell us about it! WHAT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? We were in total shock and couldn't believe Allie actually woke up on her own to do this. She is in a little bit of trouble, by the way. Emma did not go back to sleep. If you mess with her sleep schedule, you are in trouble! We really appreciate the thoughtfulness, but we were sound asleep and had no idea! That really scares me!
P.S. I am enjoying my chocolate covered cherries...and can't wait to watch Fireproof tonight!

Happy Birthday, Mom!
Last weekend, we celebrated my mom's birthday at Aspens. The meal was so delicious! We're so thankful she is feeling better and things are getting back to normal! We love you, mom!
We love family get-togethers! It was nice to have my sister and her husband join us. Happy Birthday, mom!
